VSMC is a modern maritime contracting entity engaged in sustainable energy projects. Since the establishment of VSMC late 2005 we have been engaged in a significant amount of submarine power cable projects in NW Europe. VSMC's objective is to continue our present growth to be one of the leading power cable installation contractors in Europe.
In combination with our parent company Visser & Smit Hanab we have all the necessary in-house resources to install (onshore & offshore) grid to grid power cable connections for renewable energy sector as well as for the increasing demands to improve connectivity to secure balance of power in European power cable networks.

VSMC successful at obtaining over € 150 million in new orders for wind farm cable connections.
Visser & Smit Marine Contracting, a VolkerWessels company, has recently signed four contracts related to the installation of cables for offshore wind parks with a combined value of over € 150 million. This underlines the excellent qualities of VSMC as one of the leading European companies in the field of electrical energy connections for offshore, near-shore and landing projects.

Friends of the Supergrid (FOSG), the organisation launched in March of this year by ten global companies to progress policy towards the construction of a pan-European Supergrid, is pleased to announce the appointment of its first CEO Ana Aguado and three new founding members: Nexans, wpd offshore and CG Power Systems.
The scope of work of the contract includes the supply, installation, burial, termination and commissioning of 86 infield cables, including cable accessories and cable protection.
